From Milonguero to Modern
Tango Masterclass about the origin of many of todays popular steps that are danced at milongas in Buenos Aires and worldwide.
Popular Modern Tango moves that made a comeback from the past, and new inventions that are added to the Tango by the infinite creativity of tangolovers all around the world.
We explore how these movements have started and how they changed over the past century. We dive into the styles of the Golden Era, and discover more about how Canyengue and Orillera influence our Modern Tango, Milonga y Vals.
And as always, in our classes attention to: connection within the couple, flow of the movements, precision and styling in the footwork, and suggestions and ideas for adornments (adornos).

This themed weekend is the idea of Esther Peek of Flor de Fango. Thanks to her support and assistance during the weekend this event is made possible.
This tangoweekend is a well balanced mix of practice time, lessons, breaks, time for questions and reflection.
It consists of a total of 8 hours of "tango time with Mariano y Cosima".
Water with lemon and mint, tea, fresh fruit and snacks are available for free.
Coffee is 2 euro per cup, and salon entrance is 10 euro pp (to support the non-profit organisation Flor de Fango).
To cover our costs (rent of the room, travel expenses, 21% VAT and hour preparation & training hours) the contribution is 130 euro p.p. for the tango weekend.
The group size is limited, so we can give each student personal tips & feedback!

Deine Tangolehrer sind Mariano y Cosima Díaz Campos. Mariano ist geboren in Buenos Aires. Er is aufgewachsen in einer Tango-Familie und hat das Tanzen schon in jungen Jahren begonnen. Cosima bekam als fünfjährige Geigenunterricht und einige Jahre später Tanzunterricht. Mariano und Cosima haben sich Januar 2001 kennengelernt, und tanzen zusammen seit 23 Jahren. Sie sind geschult worden von den besten Maestros in Buenos Aires. Marianos traditionelle Wurzeln in Kombination mit Cosimas Fachkenntnissen in Körpertraining (Fachwissen für gesunde Bewegungsabläufe), machen sie zu ausgezeichneten Lehrern. Ihr Stil ist klassisch und Argentinisch. Cosima hat Fysiotherapie und Übungsterapie studiert, und hat ihre Fachkenntnisse von gesunden Bewegungen und Haltungen als grosses Extra eingesetzt. Auch Cosimas Erfahrungen am Rotterdam Conservatorium 'Argentijnse Tango' für Geige (1996-1997) hat dem Paar als Tänzer und Lehrer beeinflusst.
Mariano & Cosima sind engagierte Lehrer und ihr Unterricht wird von Studenten sehr geschätzt wegen dieser effektiven Methodik. Das Paar kann intensiv mit einer Gruppe arbeiten, und dabei eine lockere und entspannte Atmosphäre schaffen. Sie garantieren eine gute Balance zwischen Erklärung und Zeit zum Üben, und einer guten Abwechslung zwischen Gruppendynamik und individuellem Feedback. Sie wissen, wie Technik mit Gefühl zu verbinden ist. Sie konzentrieren sich in ihrem Unterricht immer auf die Essenz des Tangos, wodurch alle Schüler schnell und gut Fortschritte erlangen.
Die wichtigsten Aspekte in ihrem Unterricht sind:

Je leraren deze tangovakantie zijn Mariano en Cosima Diaz Campos. Mariano is in Buenos Aires geboren, en opgegroeid in een tango familie. Zijn grootvader runde een tango salon in zijn dorp, en zijn moeder was pionier van de Argentijnse tango in Nederland en omstreken; zij heeft de erfenis overgedragen aan haar zoon. Mariano & Cosima ontmoetten elkaar in Januari 2001 en dansen sinds 23 jaar samen. Zij trainden intensief in Buenos Aires met bekende namen van de tangowererld. Hun stijl is een klassieke Argentijnse tangostijl. Cosima voegde aan het danspaar haar muzikale kennis van de tango (ze studeerde Argentijnse tango op viool in Rotterdam 1996-1997), en haar kennis in gezonde bewegingen en houdingen (ze is gediplomeerd oefentherapeute sinds 2001, en fysiotherpeute sinds 2004).
Mariano & Cosima zijn bevlogen dansleraren, en hun lessen zijn zeer gewaardeerd door hun leerlingen met name vanwege de effectieve pedagogie. Het paar weet heel goed met een groep te werken, door een lichte, ontspannen sfeer te creëren met een dosis humor. De garantie voor een goede balans tussen uitleg en praktijk, en tussen groepsfeedback en individuele feedback. Ze weten techniek en gevoel van de dans te combineren, en ze focussen op de essentie van de tango in hun lessen. Ze geven subtiele and accurate correcties zodat de leerling zich snel kan ontwikkelen.
